Applying to be a CIA is simple.

CIA membership will be reviewed to confirm the following requirements:

Completed Currence enrollment training
Completed Currence calibration training
Currence CIA Certification Exam – passing grade
At least one professional financial license (Series 6, 63, 7, etc…)
Currence subscription In good financial standing

Who can join the CIA program?

If you’re already a Currence Strategist, then you’re halfway there, it’s a simple upgrade through your Strategist Portal!

What does the CIA program cost?

The program costs $397/mo.

Do I have to be a CIA in order to use Currence?

You do not. However, becoming a CIA is an additional program to enhance your existing use of Currence, as well as your work as a financial advisor.

How do I join the CIA affiliate program?

Once you join the CIA program, you will be able to become a CIA affiliate as well. You will receive notification of additional terms, upon acceptance you will receive your offer link that you can share with your advisor community. Soon you will be, offsetting your cost for the program. This means the program could potentially pay for itself in just a few months!

How do I sign up for CIA?

If you’re not a Currence subscriber yet, then you can access the CIA program when you sign up for your subscription.

If you’re a Currence Strategist, then you can simply upgrade to your CIA Plan in your strategist portal.

If you’re a Currence Strategist through one of our enterprise relationships, then you can simply upgrade to your CIA Plan in your strategist portal. You’ll be billed directly by Currence for the CIA upgrade only.

Certified Income Advisor (CIA) Plan Requirements

For any Affiliated Strategist wishing to participate in the Certified Income Advisor (“CIA”) plan, you acknowledge and agree that such Affiliated Strategists must complete an application process to qualify for the plan. This application process will include providing relevant credentials, experience, and other information required by Currence to determine eligibility for participation in the CIA plan.

Additionally, you understand and agree that once an Affiliated Strategist has been approved to join the CIA plan, they must successfully complete a periodic examination to maintain their standing within the program. This exam must be taken within 60 days of when your application has been approved by Currence. The Affiliated Strategist can take the exam up to two (2) times within a 90-day period. This exam will test their knowledge, understanding, and adherence to the principles, methodologies, and guidelines set forth by Currence for the CIA plan.

Failure to complete the application process or to pass the required exam may result in disqualification from the CIA plan and removal from the program. If an Affiliated Strategist is disqualified or removed from the CIA plan, your Account may be reassigned to another qualified Affiliated Strategist at the discretion of Currence.

By utilizing the CIA plan, you acknowledge and agree to these conditions and the associated process for qualification and continued participation.
